How To Uninstall/Remove AVG From Windows PC

Step1 : Manuall Removal of AVG Antivirus in Windows 8 , 7, Vista.

1. Open Control Panel

In Windows 8 :

Search "Control Panel" in Apps and click on Control Panel.

Press Windows Button+ X at the same time, then you will get option to click on Control Panel.

 In Windows7, Vista

Click on Start and click  Control panel.

2. Click on Programs And Features  

     or 

    Click on Uninstall a Program 

     

3. Select AVG Antivirus Program From the List.  Right Click on it and click on Uninstall. 

   Then click on YES or CONTINUE if prompted.  

4. AVG Will show 3 options to choose. Click on Uninstall.

5. AVG will show Option To keep Link Scanner. Uncheck Both option and click NEXT

6. Check the boxes to remove User Settings and Virus Vault Content.

7. AVG Will takesome time to Remove the Files after that Click on Restart Now button to finish.

Step 2 : Uninstall AVG Antivirus Using AVG Remover Tool 

If the above steps failes to remove AVG completely then you may Downlad and Run AVG Remover Tool to Remove AVG files.

1. Download AVG Remover Tool 

Click the Download to download AVG Remover :  DOWNLOAD 

Select the 64 or 32 bit according to your operating system and click on Download  

                      eg:

2.   Open and Run the downloaded file AVG Remover then it will open  a command prompt window and         will ask for your permission to remove AVG. Click on Yes to Remove.

      

      

3. Wait To complete the Removal and will prompt for restart Please click on Restart and finish the            Process. or It may automatically restart.
