Your computer is at risk: Real-Time Scanning OFF
Lot Of Customers are getting this issue. Realtime scanning is the feature of Mcafee which enables Mcafee to perform scan on Computer. If Realtime Scanning is OFF then you wont be able to scan your computer using Mcafee. Realtime Scanning may get turned off due to several reasons.
1. If Mcafee files got corrupted.
2. If there any virus in computer.
3. If Mcafee DAT in out of date.
Here we discuss about the Updated Trouble shooting steps to Fix Realtie scanning issue.
Step1:
1. Click on Start > Go to Run box
2. Type the Command SERVICES.MSC
3. Find out the service name " Mcafee Scanner" and "Mcafee Virus Scan"
4. Check the Services are Running or Stopped.
5. If its not running then double click on these Services and Click on START.
6. If Services are Disabled then Enable the service first and Select Automatic and then click on START.
7. Update Mcafee and Restart the computer.
If issue not fixed then follow the Step2.
Step2 :
Run Mcafee Virtual Technican- MVT

Follow the below instructions to Run MVT
1. Click On NEXT Button.
2. Click on Install Button.
3.Open downloaded File MVT installer.exe file
5. Click on Run and execute the file.

1. Click On NEXT Button.
2. Click on Install Button.
3.Open downloaded File MVT installer.exe file
5. Click on Run and execute the file.
6. Click on I Agree Button and continue installation
7. Click on Finish to complete the installation process.
8. Click on Continue to scan Mcafee files.
9. Click on Fix All to fix the issues found by MVT.
10. MVT will fix the normal registry issues etc. If its unable to fix some issues it will show up here.
Click on Close button to complete.
Step3: Now try to update Mcafee
1. Open Mcafee Icon and Click on Updates
2. Click on Check for Updates Option
3. Now Mcafee will download and Install Updates
4. Restart the computer and check RTS turned on or Not
Step4:
If Still Real Time Scanning is OFF then Uninstall and Reinstall the Mcafee this will fix the issue.
